Splitting Fish

Alaska has the most unique ways of living. Subsisting off the land's natural resources is what makes Alaska one of the unique-est states. Splitting fish for a long winter's survival is important in Alaska's communities. The salmon allows commercial and subsistence fishing to take place in Alaska. The fishing communities in Alaska depend on salmon to survive. Alaskan communities rely on fish and wildlife to help feed their families. The fishing industries in Alaska are the largest private employer in the state of Alaska. Be proud of where you come from, The Last Frontier.
